“Personally, I imagine (Makhachev vs. Topria) may probably be a much bigger struggle than Jon Jones or Tom Aspinall,” Cejudo stated on the “Pound 4 Pound” podcast with Kamaru Usman. He spoke at “After all, there’s the competitiveness. It isn’t simply that. It is the straightforward incontrovertible fact that Ilia Topria has an opportunity to turn out to be a champion.
“Within the heavyweight division, we are going to know who’s the true undisputed champion. However on this place, if Ilya wins, he would be the former pound holder of (Alexander) Volkanovski. – He will likely be within the class of beating the present pound-for-pound. Give him flowers.”
Topria’s staff has hinted at a doable transfer as much as light-weight. ‘El Matador’ is the present UFC featherweight champion and if he stays on this weight class, he’ll probably get a rematch with Alexander Volkanovski. As for Makhachev, the present UFC light-weight champion, he hasn’t proven a lot curiosity in dealing with Topuria until the present 145-pound titleholder proves himself at 155 kilos.
